The KNVA is led by the Ati Nasyonal (Supreme Chief), currently Ati Florence Deltor-Jean-Joseph, who represents the entire Vodou community both nationally and in public spheres. Other high-ranking members, such as Ougan Leonel Mompoint Mondestin and Tamy Dulia Dufresne, oversee internal order, spiritual values, and the consolidation of organizational efforts aimed at promoting ancestral voodoo practices.
Strategic Goals
Recognition and Legitimization: Advocate for the inclusion of Vodou in national development, peace, and stability agendas.
International Outreach: Present Vodou as a legitimate and valuable cultural and spiritual tradition to the global community.
Protection from Harm: Resist anti-Vodou violence, stereotypes, and political manipulation.
In essence, the KNVA’s role is to protect, organize, and elevate Vodou as a living, respected tradition, ensuring it remains a central pillar of Haitian society while engaging constructively with state and global institutions, including spirituality services that honor this rich heritage.
